The Federal Public Service Commission has announced a major change in its evaluation process. In its 175th meeting the authority has decided to replace descriptive exams with objective assessments. All written descriptive papers are now abolished. Only Multiple Choice Questions based papers will be used for future recruitment.
This step will be applied to all vacancies from Grade 16 up to Grade 21. The decision will be active from 21st September 2025. This notice will affect every applicant who appears under the general recruitment policy.
The move is aimed at ensuring fairness. It will also bring uniformity to the evaluation method. Candidates will now face a clear pattern that is easier to understand. At the same time the rule of negative scoring will maintain strictness and seriousness in attempt.

Details for Each Grade

All categories will attempt a single paper of 100 marks. To qualify one must score at least 40 percent. There will be a penalty of 0.25 mark for each wrong attempt.
