Pakistan Marine Academy Admissions Eligibility Condition
- Unmarried male citizen of Pakistan.
- Age not more than 20 years as of 31 December 2024.
- FATA/ Gilgit Baltistan/AJK/ Balochistan not more than 21 years as of 31 December 2024 (One Year Age Relaxation).
Academic Qualification:
- The candidates must have passed F.Sc Pre Engineering or A Level with Subject combination (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) with at least 55% marks.
- Candidates of O/A Level must submit an Equivalence Certificate along with the Application.
- F.Sc/A Level Part-Il appearing candidates with at least 60% marks in Part-I can also apply. However, they have to provide a Hope Certificate from the head of the respective college/institute.
- If a candidate fails to attain 55% marks in F.Sc after providing a Hope Certificate, he will be disqualified at any stage of the selection process or discharged during training.
How to Register Pakistan Marine Academy :
- The prospectus & application form can be downloaded from the PMA Website.www.marineacademy.edu.pk. The same is also available at the PMA Admission Office.
- Submit the application form through Courier Services along with a pay order/ bank draft of Rs. 3,500/- in favor of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), PMA Branch Code-0239 (PO/DD from any bank is accepted).
- Candidates applying under the Self Finance Scheme (SFS) are to submit an additional pay order/ bank draft of Rs.300,000/- along with the application form.
- The SFS fee will be refunded in case the candidate is selected on open merit or does not meet PMA eligibility criteria.
Education/Traning & Degree/Certificates Awarded:
- 02 Years of residential training will be conducted at PMA.
- Upon completion of training award of Associate Degree in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering by NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi.
- Certificates of International Maritime Organization (IMO) recognized Pre-Sea Mandatory Courses.
Pakistan Marine Academy Scholarships:
- 33 need-based scholarships are sponsored by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
- The distribution of 33 need-based scholarships, sponsored by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs is as follows:

INELIGIBILITY:
- Submitting tampered academic certificates/mark sheets/ documents.
- Concealment of information in the application form submitting the incomplete application or providing false information.
- Withdrawn from any academy/ training institution including that of the Armed Forces on disciplinary grounds or on weak academic performance.
- Dismissed/ Removed/ Debarred/ Resigned from Government Service including Armed Forces.
- Convicted by a court of law for an offense involving moral turpitude or any other offense.
- Non-Combination of Subjects and Diploma holders (DAE) are not eligible.
Declared Medically unfit by an Armed Forces hospital/ Appeal Medical Board. - The SFS fee will be refunded in case the candidate selected on Convicted by a court of law for an offense involving moral
open merit or does not meet PMA eligibility criteria. - Candidates Declared COLOUR BLIND.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
- Entrance Tests will be conducted at Abbottabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad (AJK), Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sukkur through hired Testing Agencies.
- A minimum of 50% marks are required to qualify for the entrance test.
- Medical examination of shortlisted candidates will be conducted at designated Army/ Navy Hospitals.
- Final selection will be done in order of merit which includes F.Sc. Marks, Entry Test Marks, Medical, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & final interview.
- PET and interview will be conducted after the Medical Examination.
- Final Interview and PET dates will be updated on the PMA website and the same will also be communicated to candidates through SMS.
