Key Responsibilities

The Chief Risk Officer will play a critical role in safeguarding the bank’s interests by:

Developing Risk Management Strategies: Design and implement risk policies aligned with market practices and regulatory requirements.
Compliance with SBP Regulations: Ensure all risk management activities comply with the State Bank of Pakistan’s regulations.
Credit Risk Management: Monitor financing exposures to ensure they align with the bank’s risk acceptance parameters and credit risk policy.
Portfolio Limit Review: Analyze portfolio limits to ensure conformity with the bank’s approved risk appetite.
Risk Analysis for New Ventures: Evaluate risks associated with new products and ventures to inform relevant personnel promptly.
Enterprise Risk Management: Analyze credit portfolios and formulate response strategies to secure business objectives.
Exception Reporting: Report any material deviations from the bank’s risk policies to top management for corrective action.

Required Education and Experience

Education:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Relevant certifications in Risk Management will be preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the banking sector, including at least 10 years in Risk Management.
- At least 5 years of managerial-level experience is mandatory.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and adherence to work ethics.
- Advanced IT proficiency.
Domicile:
- Preference will be given to candidates with Gilgit-Baltistan domicile.
