Eligibility Criteria – Excise & Taxation Inspector Jobs 2026 Punjab
1. Qualification: Intermediate FA/FSc/ICS or equivalent with minimum 2nd Division from recognized board. Graduation BA/BSc preferred.
2. Physical Standard:
Male: Height: 5’-7” (170.18 cm), Chest: 33”-34.5” (83.82-87.63 cm), Weight: As per BMI
Female: Height: 5’-2” (157.48 cm), Weight: As per BMI
Running: Male 1.6 KM in 7 minutes. Female 1.6 KM in 10 minutes.
3. Age Limit: 18 to 25 Years on closing date. General age relaxation of 10 years as per Punjab Govt Policy SOR-I(S&GAD)9-36/81 dated 08.09.2016. Maximum age: 35 Years.
4. Domicile: Only candidates having domicile of respective district in Punjab can apply against district quota.
5. Quota: Open Merit 109, Women 84, Minority 5. Lady Constable and Female candidates encouraged.
Selection Process – Excise Inspector Recruitment Punjab
1. Application: Download form from www.excise.punjab.gov.pk. Attach postal order of Rs. 300/- in favour of Director General Excise & Taxation Punjab.
2. Physical Test: Running, height, chest, weight measurement. Candidates failing physical test will be disqualified.
3. Written Test: MCQs type test of 100 marks including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies, English, Urdu, Every-day Science, Basic Mathematics, Basic Computer.
4. Interview: Shortlisted candidates from written test called for interview. Original documents verified.
5. Final Merit: District-wise merit list prepared. Selection purely on merit under Recruitment Policy 2004.

Job Description – Excise & Taxation Inspector BS-05
1. Tax Collection: Recovery of property tax, motor vehicle tax, professional tax, excise duty, cotton fee, entertainment tax in assigned circle.
2. Field Duty: Field visits, survey, assessment, and enforcement of tax laws. Vehicle checking on roads for token tax and registration.
3. Legal Powers: Authority to seal property, impound vehicles, challan defaulters under Excise & Taxation Ordinance.
4. Narcotics Control: Assist in anti-narcotics operations, raids, checking of liquor permits with Counter Narcotics Force.
5. Salary: BS-05 scale Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 45,000+ per month with allowances. Government job benefits including pension, medical, housing.
