Government of the Punjab, Special Education Department has announced School Teaching Interns (STIs) Jobs 2026 in Special Education Institutions, District Bahawalpur under Notification No. SO(Estt)3-26/07(3859) dated 25-03-2026. Applications are invited from suitable candidates for 15 vacant posts of Senior Special Education Teachers, Junior Special Education Teachers, and Psychologist on BS-16 and BS-17 scales. This is a temporary 09-month internship with monthly honorarium up to Rs. 45,000. Last date to apply is 30-04-2026 by 03:00 PM.

2. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must possess the prescribed qualifications and age limits as per the STI Policy issued by the Special Education Department.
• Fresh candidates having relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Preference may be given to candidates having prior teaching experience.
• No age relaxation shall be granted under the STI Policy.

3. Terms & Conditions

• Engagement shall be purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable.
• Duration: 09 months (excluding summer vacations) during Financial Year 2025-26 & 2026-27, or till the arrival of regular incumbents, whichever is earlier.
• Monthly Honorarium: BS-17: Rs. 45,000/- | BS-16: Rs. 40,000/-
• No right of regular appointment shall be conferred.
• Performance and attendance shall be strictly monitored by the concerned authorities.
• Engagement may be terminated with one month’s notice or payment in lieu thereof.

4. How to Apply – Step by Step Application Procedure

Important: There is no online portal. Applications must be submitted physically to the concerned institution.

1. Step 1: Prepare Documents – Gather attested copies of: Updated CV, CNIC, Domicile, All Academic Certificates/Degrees, Experience Certificates (if any), and Two passport-size photographs.
2. Step 2: Prepare Application – Write a simple application addressed to the Principal/Head of the relevant Special Education Centre you are applying for. Mention the post name and institution clearly.
3. Step 3: Submit by Hand or Courier – Submit your complete application package to the concerned Special Education Institution mentioned against each post above. See addresses and contact numbers in the vacancy list.
4. Step 4: Deadline – Applications must reach the concerned institution on or before 30-04-2026 by 03:00 PM. Incomplete or late applications shall not be entertained.
5. Step 5: Interview – Interviews of eligible/shortlisted candidates will be held on 07-04-2026 at 09:30 AM in the office of the Principal, Government Secondary School for the Blind, Muhammad Bin Qasim Road, Model Town “A”, Bahawalpur. No separate call letters, SMS, or emails will be issued for interview.
6. Step 6: Bring Originals – Candidates must bring original documents at the time of the interview.

Note: The department reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason. No TA / DA will be paid to the candidates for interview.
